The Egyptian Health Foundation, in collaboration with the Egyptian Platform Against Tobacco, launched its "Pink Lungs" initiative to protect current and future generations from the dangers and harms of tobacco use. The initiative has undertaken numerous activities, beginning with an announcement meeting and the honoring of several individuals and organizations at the Planning Institute on March 19, 2024, following the platform's establishment on February 8, 2023, under the auspices of the World Health Organization.
Then, by carrying out multiple activities in more than one place, the initiative became the first initiative in combating smoking in Egypt and even the Arab world.
